“After 10 years working in my industry, I found myself promoted to a Director Role, but quickly found myself drowning in work. I learned to quiet the voice in my head, separate myself from my inner critic, unhook myself and my self-worth from circumstances.

This year I completed my biggest projects many months early. I love meeting with my team and having open dialogue with them. I’m asked to intermittently cover for my boss and lead larger scope projects. I have been able to do this all without falling into the trap of working myself to the bone.

Now 1 year since assuming the Director role, nothing at work has changed. What has changed is ME.”
