Performing Under Pressure

We’ve entered the “second half.”

You know that place post-Labor Day where we have less than half the year to reach goals, hit sales quotas and prove either a business case or sometimes ourselves.

Cue: overwhelm. Cue: dread. Cue: "I can't do this." Cue: dropping, turning stomach. Maybe your fiscal year starts in July...you still know the feeling.

You can listen to all the motivational talks in the world, but a talk won't get you the results you want or need to get your bonus this year or set you up for promotion.

Here's the catch: you already know what to do. Do you believe that?

Once I learned how to believe that I would reach and surpass my goals, I was able to laugh pressure off (for real) and act.

Ultimately, the only thing we can do is ACT, and then UN-ATTACH or unhook ourselves from the results. This is a process of getting out of our own way.

When we can take action without attaching so much to the result of that action, we will put our whole selves into the actual action, and when we do that and trust, we become unstoppable.

If you’d like to become unstoppable even under pressure, send me a message on the Contact page to set up a free consultation call to discover how you can make simple shifts that can lead to your best performance.
